You can use this form to order a Basic DBS check for yourself if you are currently living in England or Wales. Note that an employer may need a more detailed check such as a Standard or Enhanced DBS (which can only be requested by the employer).

We start with a few questions to confirm you are ordering an approprite check and that you will need some documents later on to prove your identity and address.

You make your payment and we send you an order confirmation. Once your payment is processed, we send you a link to the online application.

With your documents ready, you click the link, fill in the application form, and do a Digital ID check. Note that once you complete this step, your application is finalised and you cannot be refunded. Should your Digital ID check fail we will explain other ways to prove your identity.

With your application complete, we do some final checks and approvals, or let you know if there are any issues. Your checked and approved application is securely fowarded to the DBS, and you will receive your official DBS Certificate in the post within a few days.

Later in the application, you will need to prove your identity and your current address. The Digital ID check requires that you show orignal documents, not copies. This is a good time to check you have the necessary documents and that your ID has not expired.
